The data we hold on you, in plain language.

Last updated · April 1, 2026Effective · April 1, 20266 min read

Plain-language summary first. We've highlighted the essentials in callouts. The full, lawyer-reviewed text follows beneath each section. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected].

1. Quick summary

In shortServygo collects only what we need to dispatch a provider and bill you correctly. We never sell your data, never train AI on your messages, and you can export or delete everything from Settings → Privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how Servygo Inc. ("Servygo", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our customer portal, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

2. What we collect

In shortAccount basics, what you book, where you book it, how you pay, and how you message providers. Plus minimal device data so the app keeps working.

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account & profile. Name, email, mobile number, optional photo and pronouns, and your password (stored as a salted hash — never in plain text).
  • Service data. Booking history, addresses, access notes, photos and messages you share with providers, ratings and reviews you submit.
  • Payment data. Tokenised card details (we never see your raw card number — that's stored by Stripe), wallet balance, loyalty ledger, and invoices.
  • Device & usage. IP address, browser, OS, crash logs, and product analytics events. You can opt out of analytics in Settings → Privacy.
  • Location. Your device's coarse location (with your permission) for live tracking and ETA calculations.

3. Why we collect it

In shortTo match you with a provider, take payment, keep you safe, comply with the law, and improve the product over time.

We process your data for the following purposes and lawful bases:

  • Service delivery (contract). Dispatching providers, scheduling jobs, accepting payment, sending receipts.
  • Trust & safety (legitimate interest). Vetting providers, monitoring for fraud, investigating disputes.
  • Legal & tax (compliance). Retaining receipts and invoices as required by Canadian tax law.
  • Marketing (consent). Only when you opt in. You can opt out any time in Settings → Privacy.

4. Who we share it with

In shortProviders you book, payment processors, and a small set of vetted sub-processors. Never advertisers. Never AI training partners.

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers you book — name, photo (if you allow), address, contact details, and any access notes you've shared.
  • Payment processors (Stripe, Interac) to authorise and capture charges, refund cancellations, and pay providers.
  • Infrastructure sub-processors (AWS for hosting, Mapbox for mapping, Twilio for SMS, Postmark for transactional email).
  • Government & law enforcement when legally compelled by a valid order. We always notify you unless prohibited.

Servygo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for advertising or AI model training.

5. How long we keep it

In shortActive for as long as your account is open. Most data is purged 30 days after deletion; receipts stay 7 years per CRA tax rules.

When you delete your account in Settings → Delete account, we begin a 14-day grace period during which you can cancel deletion. After that:

  • Profile data, addresses, and messages — purged within 30 days.
  • Reviews — anonymised but retained, so other customers can still benefit from honest feedback.
  • Receipts and invoices — kept for 7 years to comply with the Canada Revenue Agency.

6. Your rights

In shortAccess, correct, delete, export, restrict, and object — all from inside the app or by emailing [email protected].

Under PIPEDA (Canada) and the GDPR (where applicable), you have the following rights:

  • Access. Request a downloadable copy of all your data via Settings → Privacy → Request export.
  • Correction. Update your profile any time in Profile → Edit.
  • Deletion. Delete your account from Settings → Delete account.
  • Portability. Your export is delivered as a machine-readable JSON archive.
  • Withdraw consent. Toggle marketing, personalisation, and analytics consent at any time.

7. Security

In shortAll traffic is TLS 1.3. Data at rest is AES-256. Cards are tokenised by Stripe. We're SOC 2 Type II certified.

We follow industry-standard practices: encryption in transit and at rest, mandatory peer-reviewed code changes, quarterly third-party penetration tests, and a 24/7 on-call security team.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, sign out of all sessions in Settings → Security and email [email protected] immediately.

8. International transfers

Your data is hosted on AWS Canada (ca-central-1). Backups are stored in AWS us-east-1 (Virginia, USA) for disaster recovery. We use Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure data crossing the border is subject to equivalent protections.

9. Children

Servygo isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has created an account, please email us and we'll remove it promptly.
